Equity
At Northern Nevada Wildflower Montessori, we are committed to ensuring all students have equitable access to high-quality, standards-aligned education. This includes students with diverse learning needs, English Language Learners (ELLs), students with disabilities, and those affected by other social, cultural, or economic factors. We provide inclusive, supportive, and culturally responsive learning environments that honor each student’s strengths, promote academic growth, and empower every child to succeed.
English Language Learners
Northern Nevada Wildflower Montessori (NNWM) is committed to ensuring that all students, including English Language Learners (ELLs), are provided equitable access to a high-quality, standards-aligned public education. In alignment with NNWM’s Montessori philosophy, language development is viewed as an integral part of the whole child’s academic, social-emotional, and cultural growth.
Consistent with the Montessori approach, NNWM recognizes that students acquire language through meaningful interaction, purposeful work, and immersion in a language-rich environment. English language development at NNWM is embedded within authentic academic experiences and supported through individualized instruction, respectful of and valuing students’ home languages and cultural identities.

The child who has felt a strong love for his surroundings and for all living creatures, who has discovered joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us reason to hope that humanity can develop in a new direction.
- Dr. Maria Montessori
